*nodsnods* Yeah, I see what you're saying now. Nightbird is oddly naive, and really does absolutely worship Megatron in a way that even very loyal Cybertronian 'Cons like Shockwave and Soundwave don't. In her mind, Megatron is her savior and that's obvious and nothing will ever really change that.

I also think Megatron's a little... hmm, not sure of the word. He's not lacking in confidence at all, but he is dealing with something he has no experience with, really. She's an alien, and she's one who remains wholly devoted to the cause even after bad things happened once. (Yes, there is another story between "Awakenings" and this one, in which she does a whole slew of things to earn her place. It's just not written yet.) He values her abilities and knows that loyalty like that is useful, so yes, he is a little more deliberate here.
