Thank you!

The whole idea of Megatron having that particular alternate form really raises interesting conundrums about the power relationship he has with other characters. That's part of the reason was avoiding writing about it!but of course, when meaisin_caoin challenge me to write about it, I couldn't pass it up. ;-)

There's a lot of stuff out there that deals with the idea of Megatron not having power in ways that just don't make any sense to me. (Like the idea that he's secretly a bottom -- I just can't make that work in my head, even when I see it written by people who generally know what they're doing.)

But at the same time, to portray the relationship between Megatron and Starscream realistically, there have to be a few complicated twists to what's going on. Otherwise, Starscream is just an idiot who can't be realistic. And that's not interesting at all.

And there are plenty of situations that can look like one character has lost control when the character hasn't. aAndof course, anytime a story is written from Starscream's point of view, you're going to get Starscream interpreting things in ways that give him the power, and sometimes that will be accurate and sometimes it won't. And sometimes it will both be accurate and inaccurate at the same time. That's what's fun about somebody like Starscream who's an amusingly partially reliable narrator.
