Hmm. I'm not sure this is anything I can explain well enough to come out coherent, but I have trouble finding stuff to read. I don't hang out on the kink meme because a lot of prompts squick or even trigger me, and I feel I can only dip my toes in when I'm steeled to run into something that'll really bother me. But I also really like finding new stuff to read.

So... any suggestions for any places where people don't just list fics by when they're posted (like, say, thecybertronian does), but that collect fic based a little more on what they contain? Like I can remember a while ago that someone was collecting a list of Optimus/Starscream. I don't know if people still use it as I don't ship that particular pairing much at all, but I remember really liking the concept of something encyclopedic that wasn't just all fic everywhere. Do folks know of lists like that anywhere?

There are a few rec and squee comms on LJ. They tend to just be one offs, though, or people asking for specific things, not lists of fic, like tfiwts and tf_fic_squee. TF_archives used to have stories listed by character, but unfortunately that place disappeared. A place like what you're describing would be pretty awesome.

tf_fic_squee did themed rec months for a while - you can check out the tags - but it petered out due to lack of participation I think.

Yeah, I really didn't want to see that die over at squee but I also really didn't have much to rec for a while because I was kind of out of general fandom energy.

I love people's rec posts but it seems they're all old. I wonder what happened, generally, to get people to stop making them.
