Well, I have told you I'd been waiting for this, so... xD
First off, I feel you have Starscream's characterization down pat. It's so wonderfully accurate that I found myself engaging in uncontrollable squeeing or otherwise nodding my head and going, "Yes, this. Exactly!"
For Megatron, there's something eerily creepy about him, not so much himself than it is just how much he's changed after his "death" and looked inside himself and the effects the Dark Energon has had on him. I think in TF:P, he's always been a bit unstable, but this line here:
"Survive this, Megatron thought, feeling the frantic whirling of the heat under his hand, the red light gleaming in the spaces between his fingers. Overload before I crush you, and you live."
It gave me chills. It is an extremely arousing line and gives some insight on the way Megatron works, particularly in this newer relationship with Starscream, who seems much more willing to submit to his leader than the very SAM we see in G1 where there's a constant stream of bickering.
