Well, to me, it felt like Megatron was going more at Nightbird's pace than setting the pace himself as he might with other Decepticons (but obviously, only because that's the best way of getting what he wanted!)
Nightbird's emotional responses also seemed to me to be different, I think partly because of the "being brought in from the cold" element (e.g. the passage where she muses on being the lowest of the low in the 'con hierarchy and so on) and partly because she seems to view Megatron in a more romanticised way (his role in bringing her to awakening, etc).
It's very hot emotional D/s stuff, and as I say, it feels to me a lot different from the way your other Megatron/whoever stories have felt.
