In your own space, rec at least three fanworks that you think would make a good intro into XYZ fandom. Rec a fandom overview, a introductory picspam, stories that define and shape the fandom. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I used to be really into Hellraiser. (Warning for everything ever. It's fucking Hellraiser.) Still like it, but am no longer active. And it's a small fandom, sooo...:
If you're interested in that you have to check out the fancomics project for that, The Hellbound Chronicles. (I've written some scripts. See if you can guess which? ^_^) It's not so much "the intro" as "what's out there," in terms of writing.
Another wonder of HR fandom is The Pyramid Gallery, an in-universe website documenting Lemarchand's many creations and what has befallen those unlucky or depraved enough to find them. Many, many artists, writers, and otherwise creative people have contributed to this, and it shows.

Fanfic there was relatively little of in the circles I ran in, and everything I know of, good bad and ugly, is here, including one of mine. (I have another, but it's not up there. I should fix that.) There's probably more on the Pit, but I was in that fandom before I knew the Pit existed, so I have no recs.
I'd do the same for Transformers fandom, but I don't think I can. It's such a huge fandom that everyone has wildly different tastes. People should, I think, start with their favorite character, faction, or genre and go from there.
